TSPA is an educational, departmental, social, and professional organization for anyone interested in psychology. Meetings are held every other Monday at 7 pm in NOA 1.126 unless otherwise noted. Membership requirements include paying dues--$25 per year (includes a T-shirt) or $15 per semester, attending meetings and social events, and participating in a service activity each semester.

The Student-Run TSPA web site is currently under construction and will be up soon.

Psi Chi

Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in Psychology founded in 1929 for "the purpose of encouraging, stimulating, maintaining scholarship in, and advancing the science of Psychology". The national Psi Chi lifetime membership fee is $35. There is also a one time local fee of $10. Membership is open to Psychology majors who meet the criteria listed below. A Psychology major with a least 36 hours of college work completed. An overall GPA at UT of 3.0. A 3.5 average in Psychology courses at UT. At least 9 hours Psychology UT (not including PSY 301 or 357).

Women in Psychology

To establish a platform for discussion abovt multicultural and women's issues in psychology. To provide an opportunity for students to interact with professionals from the mental health community who focus on multicultural and women's issues like feminist therapy or multicultural sensitivity. These professionals would include those employed outside of the university, as well as university faculty and staff. To make students aware of volunteer and job opportunities in psychology and related fields in the Austin area.
