Neuroimaging the Age-Related Memory Decline

Description:

We are currently using fMRI and structural MRI techniques to explore the age-related decline seen in human memory.  The RA will help with fMRI data collection and processing, which take place both in our lab in SEA 2.210 and at the Imaging Research Center.

Qualifications:

The applicant should be at ease when interacting with subjects, especially older adults, Students will need have a fairly flexible schedule to allow for proper training and adequate scanning sessions.  Also, we require someone who is detail oriented, reliable, and organized.  Prior computer programming experience is valued but not required.

Duties:

RAs will help recruit, pre-screen, and scan subjects.  They will have a hands-on role at the IRC during scan collection, as well as in the Imaging Analysis Lab with data processing.  This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who is interested in graduate work focused n neuroimaging, to gain experience working directly with a special population and building research skills.
