Partially fulfills Area II requirement in psychology Description: The study of group behavior is at the heart of social psychology. Most human behavior is transacted in group settings. Leadership is also a topic of both theoretical and practical significance. This course will explore research into group behavior and leadership. The course will be taught as a seminar with class discussion. Texts: Hackman. Groups that work (& those that don't). 1990 paperback Grading and Requirements: 2 Research Papers, 1 Term paper. Students will present summaries of research papers Prerequisites: Psychology 301 with a grade of C or better, Psychology 319K, Psychology 418 or an equivalent statistics course with a grade of C or better, and upper division standing.
