Description:

This course provides an interdisciplinary orientation to the professional discipline of early childhood intervention. The professionals who provide early childhood intervention services to infants and toddlers (birth through 2 years old) who have developmental delays or disabilities and their families are required to possess the knowledge and skills to understand and facilitate each child's unique development and the family and program factors which influence that development.

Prerequisites:

Psychology 301 with a grade of C or better, Psychology 304, Psychology 418 or an equivalent statistics course with a grade of C or better, upper division standing, and six semester hours of upper division psychology.
