Description:
The interests of the Holden Lab cover a wide range of behaviors concerning various aspects of parent-child relationships. This particular study investigates parental social cognitions -- what parents think about their children and parent-child interactions and how it affects their parenting.
Qualifications:
We are seeking students who are responsible, conscientious, and hard working applicants who plan to attend graduate school. We require a 2-semester commitment of 10 hours per week. Basic computer skills are required.
Duties:
Each semester there are a variety of tasks, including library research, contacting potential participants, helping to collect data, watching children, transcription and coding of video or audio tapes, entering data in the computer, etc. A 3-page paper will be required at the end of each semester.
