Biopsychology of Reproduction TTH 9:30-11:00 ARC 0.246 Hull
Description: The goals of this course are to understand: (1) sex differentiation of the body, especially the neural circuits that control sexual behavior; (2) the means by which the brain controls a complex behavior such as sexual behavior; (3) the roles of hormones and neurotransmitters in sexual motivation and behavior; (4) the physiology of the male and female reproductive systems; (5) methods of contraception and treatment of infertility. The format will be a combination of lectures, presentations by students, and discussion. Everyone will be expected to read the assigned background material and to participate actively in discussion every class period. Texts:

Prerequisites: Psychology 301 with a grade of C or better, Psychology 418 or an equivalent statistics course with a grade of C or better, upper division standing, and 6 semester hours of upper division psychology.
