PSY 357 Developing Culturally Sensitive Treatments

Description:

Assist with one or more studies involved in examining factors that could lead to culturally sensitive treatments.  One study explores the relationships between college attrition, mental health, and college experiences for African-Americans.  An upcoming study aims to improve African-American attitudes towards therapy. Future studies will focus on Latino/a and other minorities as well. In this course, you will be assist in developing and carrying out research projects. You may receive help from graduate students in exploring your own research interests and if desired, help with the application process to graduate school.

Qualifications:

Responsible, dedicated; computer-literate; may work Summer 2006 and/or Fall 2006

Duties:

Recruiting, scheduling, and running participants; assisting with online version of study; data entry; gathering articles; attending lab meetings
