Description:

We are in the beginning stages of a collaborative research project with Lackland Air Force Base’s Explosives Detection Dog program.  In this research project, we will be striving to help identify a temperament test that will allow for early selection of dogs that can successfully perform explosives detection and patrol work for the armed forces.

Qualifications:

We seek highly reliable, conscientious research assistants with at least minimal experience with dogs (e.g., who grew up with or have pet dogs) and who are able to commit AT LEAST 2 semesters to this study.    

Duties:

Research assistants will be trained in behavioral coding of puppy temperament assessments.  Interested students should contact Amanda to set up a meeting and learn more about this study and opportunities for involvement!
