PSY 357 Sociocultural Pressure and Body Dissatisfaction of Women

Description:

An experimental study aimed at further understanding the way in which women emulate the ultra slender model, an image that has become ubiquitous in all forms of the media, and which has contributed to the rise of body dissatisfaction and negative mood among women.

Qualifications:

Motivated, dedicated students who have an interest in learning research in psychology.  Preference will be given to undergraduates who can commit to the summer and the fall (2005) but will still consider outstanding students who can commit to the summer only.

Duties:

Assist in running a new study, work with subjects, help collect data, and participate in data management.
