Description:
At Applied Research Labs we are looking into more effective ways to evaluate and test human interactions with software, in order to find problem areas that the programmers can then redesign for ease of human use. This is an experiment to see how usability professionals perform using traditional versus contemporary methods.
Qualifications:
Psychology or LIS major. Preferred: at least on course in statistics or research design. 15 hours per week, during regular business hours, but flexible within that timeframe. Location: Applied Research Laboratories, J.J. Pickle Research Center at Mopac and Braker Lane (shuttle from main campus available).
Duties:
You will assist the primary researcher in recruiting usability professionals, designing test materials, screening participants, and exploring data organization and evaluation approaches as the data is collected.
