Communication in Intimate Relationships

Description: Study of individual differences in how people communicate and how their communicative style shapes other people's impressions of them, and the quality of their relationships. Also looking into the relationship between emotionality and communication styles. Collecting data from people in romantic relationships to determine how differences and similarities in communication styles produce differences in intimacy and relationship stability.

Qualifications: Hard working, responsible and dependable people who will be available in the Summer and Fall semester. (It is not necessary to be available for two semesters, however, it is preferred.) Preference given to students who are psychology majors with GPA's of at least 3.0 and who intend to go to graduate school.

Duties: Willing to work approximately 10 hours a week doing the following: conducting experiments, coding data, and scheduling subjects.
