The auditory systems of homosexual and bisexual women are different from those of heterosexual women according to a report to appear in the March 3, 1998 issue of The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. The authors of the report are Dennis McFadden and Edward Pasanen of The University of Texas at Austin.


The December 8, 1998 issue of OnCampus features a cover story on "Stranger in the Nest", by David B. Cohen.


The research of David Buss, Judy Langlois, and Devendra Singh was showcased on a 4-part BBC series on the Learning Channel (Cable channel 21) in March 1998.


UT Professor Focusing on Videoteleconferencing, reprinted from the April 18, 1997 issue of the Daily Texan, describes research by Bill Geisler, director of the Center for Perceptual Systems.


"Managing Human Error in Aviation", by Robert Helmreich, has been published in the May 1997 issue of Scientific American.


On April 7 UT Psychology Professor of Evolutionary Psychology David Buss was featured on an episode of Straight Talk with Derek McGinty on PBS called The Chemistry of Love. Love, desire and the evolutionary processes behind human emotions were a few of the topics discussed.


KUT Radio's Longhorn Profile of Catherine Echols' research in children's acquistion of language is featured in the 2/11/97 issue of UT's OnCampus magazine.


The Austin-American Statesman has run features on research conducted by Becky Bigler, David Buss, Bob Helmreich and the Children's Research Lab. Newsweek (6/3/96) cited in its main feature "The Biology of Beauty" the work of Devandra Singh and Judith Langlois.
