Description:

This project involves administering, scoring, and reporting on the neuropsychological assessments of our older adult subjects.  Neuropsychological tests are a key way to explore brain function and cognitive abilities by tapping into the brain-behavior relationship.  Administering the neuropsych tests can be an interesting way to observe differences in behavior due to brain function, particularly in a sample of older adults.

Qualifications:

The applicant should be at ease when interacting with subjects, especially older adults, Students will need have a fairly flexible schedule to allow for proper training and adequate testing sessions.  Also, we require someone who is detail oriented, reliable, and organized.  Prior testing experience is valued but not required.

Duties:

RAs will help recruit, pre-screen, and test older adult subjects.  They will conduct a face-to-face Neuropsych testing battery to assess for memory or cognitive impairment.  They will also be responsible to grade and record the test results in our database.  This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who is interested in a clinical field, to gain experience working directly with a special population and building testing/interview skills.
