Description:
Dr Buss has written a book, The Murderer Next Door, documenting his findings about homicide and homicidal ideation in America. The current project involves processing the homicide case files and homicidal ideation surveys electronically for archival and future research purposes.
Qualifications:
Detail-oriented, trustworthy and motivated students who are interested in evolutionary psychology, criminality or homicide. Experience with scanning and PDF-creation desired but not required.
Duties:
We will continue our large-scale project of converting our large collection of real homicide case files and surveys into digitized searchable documents. You will be taught how to do this and will be expected to work on this project 6-10 hours per week as indicated by the 357 guidelines. You may also be asked to assist us with other on-going research projects in our lab, as well as other general research-related tasks.
