The goals of this project are to determine the extent to which couples’ actual behaviors predict relationship quality (how satisfied they are in their relationship, how committed they are to their partner, etc.) and relationship fate (whether couples later break up or stay together).

Qualifications:

Responsible, motivated students with an interest in the psychology of romantic relationships, willing to work 8-10 hours/week during the Summer 2005 semester.

Duties:

Help conduct a large-scale study examining the nature of romantic relationships.  Primarily includes coding couples’ recorded social life and transcribing their natural conversations. You will play an important role in this project and gain valuable experience.
