PSY 357 Cross-cultural research: Social Interactions in a Mexican Sample

Description:

In our lab we are doing cross-cultural research. Specifically, we have collected data of the natural language use in a sample of students from Monterrey, Mexico. With this study we are going to answer questions such as:

  • Do the social interactions in Mexican students differ from the American students?
  • Is there a difference in emotional expression between Mexican and Americans students?
  • Is there a difference between Mexican and American students in the way they use language in their every day lives?

Qualifications:

I am looking for motivated and organized Spanish-English bilinguals who understand Spanish and can write it fluently.

Duties:

Work in the lab at flexible hours. Code sound recordings, transcribe natural conversations. Assist to regular lab-meetings. Possibility to get a letter of recommendation.
