Description:

This study is one of several treatment studies conducted by the Laboratory for the Study of Anxiety Disorders (LSAD). The specific aim is to examine the relative efficacy of different approaches for helping people overcome their fear of public speaking.

LSAD was founded in 1988 by Professor Michael J. Telch, Ph.D. The overall mission of our research is to increase scientific knowledge about the nature and treatment of anxiety-related disorders. Since its inception, several dozen studies have been completed in the area anxiety disorders and their treatment. For more info visit http://www.telchlab.com

Qualifications:

Interested students must be responsible and dependable. Lab hours are flexible, but most experimentation takes place Monday through Friday from 10am-8pm. Students must be able to commit to the entire semester and a two-semester commitment is encouraged. An interest in applying to grad school in the future is desirable, but not required.

Duties:

Research Assistants (RAs) are initially responsible for participating in the treatment sessions as audience members. If interested, RAs can be trained to run both assessment and treatment sessions
