Faculty:

Contact:

Simine Vazire & Jason Rentfrow
Email: simine@mail.utexas.edu, j.rentfrow@mail.utexas.edu

Description:

How accurate are our “snap judgments” of people? Do people’s appearance tell us anything about their personality? We will examine whether and how physical appearance (e.g., clothing) gives cues to personality, and whether people can pick up on these cues and make valid judgments.

Qualifications:

RESPONSIBLE, motivated students with an interest in social/personality psychology, willing to work 10 hours/week in June/July

Duties:

Mostly independent work; help us code pictures of people for cues to their personality. You will play a very important role and gain valuable experience.
