Description:

Overview of field of clinical psychology. Historical roots of clinical psychology, overview of theoretical models, approaches to clinical assessment, approaches to clinical intervention, professional issues, applying to graduate school in clinical psychology. Lectures augmented with instructor demonstrations of assessment and therapy techniques.

Grading and Requirements:

Exams: 5
Lowest grade dropped from Exams 1-4. Exam 5 is required. No make-up exams.
Opportunity for extra credit assignments.

Prerequisites:

Psychology 301 with a grade of C or better, Psychology 418 or an equivalent statistics course with a grade of C or better, and upper division standing.
