Introduction to Psychology - Honors TTH 12:30-2:00 PAR 203 Spivey
Description: Basic problems and principles of human experience and behavior. Students will explore the diverse interests of modern psychology by concentrating on the research findings and competing theories which guide scholarship and service in the field of psychology. Texts: Myers, D. G. (1996) Exploring Psychology (3rd ed.) Straub, R. O. (1996) Study guide to accompany Exploring Psychology Grading and Requirements: Course points will be based on three "hour exams," each made up of 40 multiple choice questions, and a cumulative final exam made up of 120 multiple choice questions, resulting in a total of 240 possible course points. Hour exams will be given in the classroom during the normal class meeting time on the dates indicated on the syllabus. The cumulative final exam will be given on the date and at the time indicated on the UniversityÕs final exam schedule and on the syllabus. Course grade will be determined by the application of the following curve to the students' total course points (possible 240).
Prerequisites: Restricted to Plan I Honors students.
