PSY 357 Coping with Future Stressors: The Effects of a Proactive Coping Writing Intervention

Description:

To evaluate theories about how people cope with the future, this writing study seeks to explore how one's health, social support and positive and negative mood function as outcomes of coping. This is the first known study to experimentally manipulate future-oriented coping through writing.

Qualifications:

Hours that you will need to be in the lab are flexible. We can work around your class schedule. Most volunteers dedicate 10 hours per week.

Duties:

You will facilitate the writing experiment process for participants, which will include administering surveys. You may also analyze writing samples, recruit participants, and analyze data.
