Description:
In this study, we have couples wear a miniature digital recording device called the Electronically Activated Recorder (EAR) for 6 days so that we can explore how couples interact in real-world settings. The goals of this project are to determine the extent to which couples’ behaviors predict relationship quality (how satisfied they are in their relationship, how committed they are to their partner, etc.) and relationship stability (whether couples later break up or stay together).
Qualifications:
Responsible, motivated students with an interest in the psychology of romantic relationships, willing to work 10 hours/week during the Spring 2006 semester.
Duties:
Help conduct a ground-breaking study examining the nature of romantic relationships. Primarily includes coding and rating couples’ recorded social life. You will play an important role in this project and gain valuable research experience.
