PSY 357 Facial Recognition in Children with Autism

Description:

The purpose of this study is to examine the role of distraction on facial learning/recognition in 9- to 11-year-old children with autism vs. typically-developing children of the same age.

Qualifications:

Experience with library resources on campus, as well as with basic software programs (i.e., MSWord and MS Excel) is required.  Experience working with children with autism, though not required, would be helpful.  Lab schedule hours are negotiable. 

Duties:

Primary responsibilities include attending weekly lab meetings.  Additional responsibilities will be related to developing a research protocol and implementing it.  Responsibilities may include conducting literature reviews, recruiting families, collecting data, and coding behavioral data.
