PSY 357 Exercise and Female Sexuality

Description:

Previous research conducted in our laboratory suggests that a single session of exercise may facilitate sexual arousal in women. No comprehensive research has yet examined the long-term benefits of aerobic exercise on women’s sexuality. The purpose of this study is to examine how a 16-week exercise intervention affects sexual function and satisfaction among previously inactive women.

Qualifications:

(1) Interest in women’s health, sexuality, and/or effects of exercise; (2) PSY 418 with a grade of at least C; (3) Evening availability; (4) Maturity, responsibility, and willingness to commit to the project for 10 hours per week. Please do not apply if you do not meet all of these criteria. Past work or research experience is helpful, though not required.

Duties:

Duties will include data collection, data entry, contacting participants for follow-up, and assisting with participants’ health and fitness assessments at several points during the study.
