| Description:

Assist with one or more studies exploring language development. Topics include: How infants identify the sound patterns of their native language; how toddlers learn word meanings; interactions between language and conceptual development in 2- to 4-year-olds; childrens understanding of emotion in language.

| Qualifications: |
Must be responsible. The research requires that students interact with parents and young children, so it is essential that assistants be present and on time when appointments are scheduled. |

Duties:
|
Assisting with running of children in experiments; also some scheduling of appointments and coding of videotaped data.

Research is conducted in the Childrens Research Lab, on the first floor of the Seay Bldg. |
