Description:

We are looking for one or more students to assist with a project investigating the role identity plays in smoking behavior. We believe there may be a ‘gateway identity’ (e.g. a social smoker in this instance) which allows people to engage in a behavior without having to fully accept the associated identity. We will also need help conducting other identity-related research projects in the fall (which can be discussed during the interview). If you are interested in identity and self-concept research and would like to gain some research experience and knowledge about graduate school, please email me to set up an interview.

Qualifications:

2nd year or higher psychology major

Duties:

Assist with recruiting participants and conducting research sessions.
