PSY 357 Developing Culturally Sensitive Treatments

Description:

Assist with one or more studies involved in examining factors important to culturally sensitive treatments.  One study explores the relationships between college attrition, mental health, and college experiences for African-Americans.  Another project involves test anxiety, stereotype threat, and African Americans. Another study focuses on developing psychoeducation for Latinos/as. In this course, you will be assisting in developing and carrying out research projects. You may receive help from graduate students in exploring your own research interests and if desired, help with the application process to graduate school.

Qualifications:

Responsible, dedicated; computer-literate; may work Summer 2008 and/or Fall 2008; GPA of 3.0 or above

Duties:

Recruiting, scheduling, and running participants; data entry; gathering articles; attending lab meetings
