PSY 357 Motivation and Cognition

Description:

How do our motivational states affect our thinking process?  How do changes in motivation help or hurt performance?  We’ll explore how motivation interacts with specific information and reasoning strategies.

Qualifications:

A strong interest in psychology, reliability, and initiative are all important. Lab hours are flexible and students are expected to work 6-10 hours per week (more in the summer; see Course Requirements below).

Duties:

Research assistants will generate research ideas, help with study design and preparation, interact with research participants and collect data, as well as assist in data coding and analysis.
