PSY 357 Fantasy and Reality Stories

Description:
Would we be less likely to swim at the beach after we saw the movie Jaws? Can those events in a fantasy story have real world implications? Do we experience the events in a fantasy story in the same way as in a reality story? Can fantastical stories have a categorically different sense of time, causality, protagonists, or space then reality stories?
Qualifications:
A strong interest in psychology, reliability and initiative are all qualifications. Lab hours are flexible and students are expected to work 6-10 hours per week.
Duties:
Research assistants will generate research ideas, help with study design and preparation, interact with research participants and collect data, as well as assist in data coding and analysis.
