PSY 357 A test of strategies to facilitate courageous behavior in phobic individuals

Description:

This represents the first investigation specifically testing strategies that may help individuals behave more courageously. Research assistants will implement the experiment, which involves behavioral approach tasks using spiders or snakes. They will also assist with the interventions used to facilitate courageous behavior. The population studied will be students with significant fears of snakes or spiders.

Qualifications:

Lab hours are relatively flexible. Some upper division classes and stats preferred but not necessary. Individuals working on this project must have good interpersonal skills, as extensive interaction with study participants is required.

Duties:

The majority of your time will involve scheduling and implementing the one hour experiment. Minimal data entry may be required.
