PSY 357 Of course we’re right: Social identity, extremism, and religious fundamentalism

Description:
We are running several experiments examining how the social psychology of extremism and religious fundamentalism, with a focus on how this relates to the interaction between self and social identity. These experiments include examinations of the cognitive and behavioral consequences of extremism.
Qualifications:
Upper-level students with an interest in social psychology, the psychology of extremism, or the psychology of religion. Students should be ready to commit to 6-8 hours of work per week.
Duties:
Duties include assisting with the planning and organization of the experiments, running the experimental sessions, and providing feedback about improvements of the design of subsequent experiments.
