Description:

This study addresses how writing style and perspective can influence how we think and feel about significant events in people’s lives

Qualifications:

We are looking for an undergraduate UT student interested in clinical, health, or social psychology.  We’d like to work with someone who is eager to learn text analytic methods, experimental social psychology, or about people and their life stories in general.   Must be hardworking, fun, intellectually curious, and able to contribute ~8 flexible hrs/wk.

Duties:

If you are the lucky student to sign up with us, you will get to run participants, collect and manage web-based data, and analyze life stories of undergrads just like you.  You will get the opportunity of a lifetime to familiarize yourself with text analytic methods, and basic statistical software instruction.  Your insights and questions about the life stories will be a large part of the analysis.  Being a part of the lab will introduce you to other research projects and opportunities.
