PSY 357 Selective Attention and Negative Mood

Description:

Biased attention is thought to maintain depressive mood states. This experiment investigates the effect of attentional training designed to reverse biased attention on mood. For more information about the lab, see http://homepage.psy.utexas.edu/homepage/group/beeverslab/.

Qualifications:

Must be motivated, responsible, and detail oriented. Students willing to make a multi-semester commitment to this project are preferred.

Duties:

Facilitating data collection for this study. Duties may include: administration of clinical assessments and computerized assessment of biased attention, stimulus preparation, data entry and management, attendance at weekly lab meetings. A commitment of 10 hours per week is required.
