PSY 357 Self-Esteem and Mood
UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH PROJECT

Faculty:
William B. Swann, Jr.
Contact:
Sarah Hammes shammes@mail.utexas.edu
Description:
Previous research shows that people tend to chose interaction partners who view them the same way they view themselves. The current project seeks to add the variable of mood. We put people in a happy or sad mood, and see if people's self-views and their moods affect the interaction partners they choose.
Qualifications:
The lab schedule is somewhat flexible, but we do need someone who can work 6-10 hours during the weekday afternoons.
Duties:
Students will be completely responsible for running the study. They will interact with participants and run the procedure from start to finish.
