Description:

The way hormone fluctuations influence the psychology of humans is a burgeoning field of research. In this study we will investigate one aspect of behavioral endocrinology and social psychology: how the word usage of women changes as hormone levels fluctuate over the course of the menstrual cycle. This study may give clues about why women act the way that they do, the relationships between men and women, how oral contraception influences psychology and the effects of estrogen and progesterone in general.

Qualifications:

Basic computer skills are necessary, with a basic understanding of statistical programs such as SPSS and excel. Enthusiasm about aspects of female and social psychology are important.

Duties:

357s involved in this study will learn how to use statistical programs and LIWC to code and analyze data. You will also be learning about basic aspects of behavioral endocrinology and the psychology of women through articles and discussions with the researchers.
