Description:
This study is attempting to understand the relationship between cultural difference in fear of isolation and decision making. Basic hypothesis of this study is that there may be a difference in degree of fear of isolation between Asian culture and Western culture, and this would cause different results in decision making. We suggest that people in Asian culture may have relatively more fear of isolation than those in Western culture, and they are more likely to consider context or environmental stimuli and prefer compromise approach more than Western people. Therefore, the ultimate goal of this study is to know the effect of fear of isolation on decision making as well as whether the fear of isolation is a causal factor of cultural difference in decision making.
Duties:
Interaction with participants and collection of experimental data. Piloting new experiments. Data analysis with sufficient experience
